memory integrity (HVCI) won’t turn on, what am i missing?

ok so i’m trying to get my pc ready before i even think about buying anything. the tarkov cheat page says HVCI and core isolation need to be on. i go to windows security, core isolation, flip memory integrity and it just snaps back to off or throws some error. never touched this setting in my life. anyone know what’s going on?

is there a link under the toggle that says review incompatible drivers? that’s usually the culprit. some old driver is blocking it

yeah there’s a list. one is called something like an old audio thing and another is a driver i don’t even remember installing

lol it’s always some ancient rgb or audio software from 2016 that you forgot about. tarkov players keep their pc like their stash, 40 things nobody remembers picking up

haha fair. you can usually update the driver or remove the program it belongs to. if the program is still in use just look for a newer version from the maker

wait is this the same thing as secure boot? i thought they were the same setting

nope, different. secure boot is a BIOS thing, memory integrity is in windows security. you need both from what the page says, plus TPM and core isolation

scavtax_bob has it right. the product page lists HVCI, Core Isolation, TPM and Secure Boot all turned on, on Windows 10 or 11. our requirements guide shows how to check each one. if memory integrity still won’t switch on after updating or removing the blocking drivers, open a ticket and include your order ID if you have one, and we’ll look at it with you

yes, windows will ask you to. do it before moving on to the next setting or you’ll think it didn’t work

removed the old audio thing, restarting now. if my pc doesn’t come back i’m blaming all of you
