ESP stands for extra sensory perception. In practice it means the cheat draws information on your screen about things in the raid, so you know where they are and what they are doing. In Escape From Tarkov, that covers a few different kinds of targets, and each can be set up separately.
What you can see
The visual options in this product cover several target types:
- Player ESP for other PMCs
- Boss ESP for boss encounters
- Scav and bot ESP for AI enemies
- Quest ESP for objectives
Each can be turned on or off, so you can keep boss and quest markers while hiding scavs, or the other way around.
How targets are drawn
Three display styles are available:
- Box draws a frame around a target.
- Skeleton shows body lines, which makes it easier to read where a target is facing and how they are positioned.
- Chams colors the target model itself, which is useful when you want something that stands out without a box.
You can combine them or pick just one. Most people find that one clear style reads better than three overlapping ones.
Information labels
Next to each target you can show extra details:
- Nickname
- Distance
- Weapon
- Health, with an optional health gradient
- Type, which tells you what kind of target it is
There is also a setting to show flags only when a target is inside your FOV, which cuts down on clutter.
Controls that keep it readable
- Max distance limits how far away targets are shown.
- Visible check lets you tell targets in line of sight from ones that are not.
- Colors can be changed per type.
Other visual extras include an ammo counter, out of FOV arrows and hitmarks. Our guide to extract ESP and radar covers the map side of things.
ESP and wallhack, are they different?
People use the words interchangeably. In practice, the thing most players mean is information drawn through walls, which is what ESP does. The name matters less than the options you get to control.
Setting it up
- Turn on the targets you care about and leave the rest off.
- Pick one main style, box or skeleton, and add chams only if you want more contrast.
- Show distance and weapon first, then add health if you want it.
- Set a max distance that fits the map you are on.
- Save it as a config so you can come back to it.
The config system supports save, load, import and export, and there are hotkeys for switching things quickly.
Loot and scope
For the loot side of your setup, read about loot ESP. This cheat is for main raids only and uses a separate key from Arena. You can see the whole menu on the Tarkov cheat page.
